Bible Study on Romans 11-7 - 1309 Words

Romans 1:1-7 – Greeting Paul is a servant of Christ Jesus who has been called to be an apostle. Jesus fulfilled the prophecy in the Old Testament stating a descendent of David would rule forever. When Jesus was raised from the dead, he was declared the Son of God in power. Through Jesus Christ we have received grace and apostleship to bring about obedience of faith in his name. Jesus loves all of us and calls us to himself. Response I learned from this passage that Jesus loves each and everyone one of us. I know he is our savior because he fulfilled an Old Testament prophecy that no other person could achieve. I can apply this passage to my life by spreading the word to others just as Paul did to the Romans. Romans 1:8-17 – Rome and the Righteous shall live by faith Paul writes about how he has been longing to go to Rome to spread the word because he had a special call. Paul prays that he may have the opportunity to visit Rome. He desires to go to Rome to preach the gospel because he knows salvation only comes through true faith. The righteousness of God is revealed through faith. Response I learned that spreading the gospel to others can also help you grow closer to God and even an apostle of Jesus had to pray for the ability to share accurate information. I can apply this to my life because I get discouraged when I don’t know all the answers when trying to describe it to people when I shouldn’t because even the experts don’t know everything. Instead of gettingShow MoreRelatedThe Bible Study872 Words   |  4 PagesRomans Chapter twelve 1. As a new lieutenant in the Bridgewater Corps, I have discovered the absence of a weekly bible study.
